We have been providing service for over 30 years in Northeast Michigan. We currently serve Alpena, Alcona and Montmorency Counties with our scheduled transportation.
We have buses servicing the following areas that come into Alpena by 9:00 am and leave Alpena at approximately 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday*. Some routes are also available around noon.
- Grand Lake
- Hubbard Lake
- Long Lake
*Schedule is subject to change. These routes do not run when schools are closed due to inclement weather.
In addition to our scheduled service, TBTA has added our Montmorency County New Freedom Route on a trial basis. Anyone can ride the TBTA buses to medical appointments, shopping, entertainment, etc. in Montmorency County, the City of Alpena and to Gaylord. In order to continue this new service, we need the residents of Montmorency County to utilize this service.
The Montmorency County New Freedom Route runs twice a month. The schedule is based on demand. The vehicle is scheduled to be in Montmorency County on May 7, 2014 and May 21, 2014. Please call the office at (989) 354-2487 with any questions. You must call a minimum of 24 hours in advance to schedule a ride. It is best to call sooner if you know you would like a ride to ensure availability.
